2017年6月12日（月）ザ・ガーデンオリエンタル大阪で開催されたフィリピン共和国独立119周年記念レセプションパーティーに招待され、当団体理事長及び職員2名が参加致しました。他にも主に近畿地方の外交官、政治家やフィリピン関係の企業代表者等が招待されており、会場は大盛況でした。

日本及びフィリピン両国の国歌斉唱に続いて、フィリピン共和国総領事マリア・アニセタ・アイリーン・ホルテイリアス・ブガリン氏が挨拶。ブガリン総領事はフィリピン人の「和」に関する考えを紹介し、日本とフィリピンの長きに渡る友好関係を強調しました。

乾杯の音頭は特命全権大使（関西担当）の鈴木庸一氏。鈴木大使は、昨年の天皇陛下のフィリピン訪問の際の熱烈な歓迎に謝辞を述べるとともに、今年はASEAN50周年であり、また、フィリピンがASEANの議長国であることから、フィリピン共和国及び日比関係の新たな発展に期待を寄せました。

レセプションは立食パーティー形式で行われ、参加者は料理やピアノの生演奏を楽しみながら、それぞれの交流を深め、共にフィリピンの独立を祝いました。



About the participation in the Reception on the occasion of the 119th Anniversary of Philippine Independence

At Monday, June 12 a Reception on the occasion of the 119th Anniversary of Philippine Independence was held by the Philippine Consulate General Osaka- Kobe at The Garden Oriental in Osaka.
The event was well-visited by many representatives of many consulates and foreign governmental institutions of the Kinki-area, politicians and representatives of Philippine-related businesses.

After singing the national anthems of both countries, Consul general Ms. Maria Aniceta Aileen H. BUGARIN greeted the assembled participants. She emphasized the strong and long friendship between the Philippines and Japan and explained that it might be based on the mutual understanding of the Japanese “wa” – meaning the harmony of society.

Furthermore, a toast was help by Ambassador for the Kansai region Mr. Yoichi Suzuki. He thanked the Filipinos for receiving the Japanese emperor very warmly in their country this year. He also pointed out, that we were not only celebration the 119th anniversary of Philippines independence this year, but that this year marks also the 50th anniversary of ASEAN. Moreover, will the ASEAN summit be held in the Philippines this year, making it a year full of big events and opportunities for both countries.
